Nigerian-British businessman Tiny Ubiribo had five penis enlargement procedures before he died

A cosmetic clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, has revealed that Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo had five penis enlargement treatments at their facility before he died in March.

The 43-year-old passed away on 6 March, less than a day after his fifth penile filler procedure while he was on holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Allen.

This information came out as Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health started an investigation into the clinic after reports about Mr Ubiribo’s death.

The ministry announced that Health Minister Pattana Promphat instructed the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate the clinic to see if it met the country’s medical standards.

Officials from these agencies checked the clinic, located on Rama I Road in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan district, on 7 September. Thai authorities have not shared the name of the clinic.

According to the DHSS, the clinic’s management told investigators that Mr Ubiribo had been a regular patient since 2024 and had undergone five procedures for penile enlargement.

The clinic reported that the first four treatments happened between 2024 and 2025 before Mr Ubiribo came back for the fifth treatment on 5 March 2026. During this last procedure, he received 40cc of filler.

The clinic also mentioned that the doctor suggested splitting the treatment into two sessions, but Mr Ubiribo wanted to have it done in one session.

“The clinic’s management provided information stating that the patient had been a regular patient since 2024. The patient had received five injections to enlarge the male genitalia,” said DHSS Director-General Phuwadet Surakot.

“The doctor recommended dividing the injection into two sessions, but the patient preferred a single injection.”

Mr Surakot added that the clinic told investigators that Mr Ubiribo got aftercare instructions after each procedure and that staff followed up on his condition.

The clinic claimed he had not reported any issues after his previous treatments and had signed consent forms before each procedure.

Thai health officials said they inspected the clinic’s practices and began gathering evidence based on the management’s statements.

The DHSS said it would send its findings to Thailand’s Medical Council to check if professional standards were followed.

“We will gather all facts and evidence to proceed according to our authority and submit the case to the Medical Council for a ruling on professional practice standards, to ensure fairness to all parties,” the department stated.

Thai police are also looking into the circumstances around Mr Ubiribo’s death, according to AFP. So far, Thai authorities have not reported any findings of wrongdoing or malpractice against the clinic or its medical staff.

Mr Ubiribo had his fifth filler treatment on 5 March. His wife later told medical staff that he had received filler injections earlier that day and went for a massage afterwards.

He then lost consciousness and was taken to a private hospital in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit area. Doctors suspected an embolism and were getting ready for a CT angiography, but Mr Ubiribo became unconscious and had no pulse before they could do the examination.

Medical staff tried to resuscitate him but could not succeed. Records from Westminster Coroner’s Court show he was declared dead at 1:05 a.m. on 6 March after 101 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

A post-mortem and toxicology report later confirmed that his death was due to a pulmonary embolism linked to the hyaluronic acid injection from the procedure.

Mr Ubiribo had over 180,000 followers on Instagram, where he shared his travels and lifestyle.

He was also known in Nigerian entertainment circles and was friends with Afrobeats star Davido.

In 2023, PREMIUM TIMES reported that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) declared Mr Ubiribo and his wife wanted along with a well-known prophetess from Rivers State, Faith Ugochi.

The NDLEA accused them of recruiting teenagers into drug trafficking while acting as contacts for an international syndicate based in Los Angeles, USA.

His last Instagram post showed pictures with Davido, whom he called his “little brother.” Mr Ubiribo was later buried in London after his death in March.
