Olujuwon Obasanjo, the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has joined the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement. He will serve as Special Adviser on Political Affairs and support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.

Olujuwon shared his plans during a visit to the movement’s office in Abuja on Wednesday. He was welcomed by the National Coordinator, Sunday Asuku.

During his visit, he toured the facility to learn about the group's structure and how it operates.

Olujuwon called his appointment an honour. He praised the movement for its community outreach and efforts to promote Tinubu's administration.

He said he had watched the group’s activities for a while and liked what it was doing. He is ready to help with its goals and support the President's aim for a second term.

He stated, “President Tinubu has started on a good note, making it necessary for Nigerians, particularly young people, to join hands to sustain the ongoing reforms and ensure continuity in governance.”

Olujuwon added, “Again, you will notice that the country has made progress in areas including salary payments, infrastructure development and investment opportunities. And I think the gains recorded should be sustained.”

He believes that continued support for Tinubu will help the government build on its successes and provide more benefits to Nigerians.

Olujuwon also mentioned that he has been an All Progressives Congress member since 2014. He noted that his family can follow their political interests without any issues.

He said, “My family allows members to hold independent political views and pursue our political interests without animosity.”

Asuku welcomed him to the movement. He described Olujuwon as an experienced political player. He believes Olujuwon’s background will boost the group’s efforts.

He said, “We are certain his experience and understanding of political mobilisation would strengthen the movement and advance its activities across the country.”

The national coordinator expressed happiness about Olujuwon joining the group. He is confident that Olujuwon will use his political knowledge to help achieve the group’s goals.

This news comes as political parties and groups prepare for the 2027 general election. Supporters of the President are ramping up grassroots efforts for his re-election.
