The Ogun State Government has set aside ₦987.185 million for support to public servants from April to December 2026. This includes ₦327.31 million meant for the last quarter of the year.
Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka, the Head of Service, shared this information in a statement on Friday. He said this ongoing support shows the government's commitment to the welfare of workers and its efforts to help them deal with the current economic challenges.
The latest allocation of ₦327,310,000 covers the period from October to December 2026. Earlier, ₦330,630,000 was allocated for April to June and ₦329,245,000 for July to September. This brings the total funding for the three quarters to ₦987,185,000.
Continuing this program shows the government's aim to keep supporting public servants despite economic challenges. These include the rising costs of transportation and other necessary expenses.
This initiative also shows that the government values workers’ welfare, which is key for productivity and providing good public services. It also supports their development plans.
By extending the support through December, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration is providing a way to reduce the financial strain on workers. This helps ensure that the public service can keep delivering important services to residents across Ogun State.
