Okoye attracts interest from Beşiktaş and Juventus

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is now one of the most wanted goalkeepers in Europe this summer. Italian club Juventus and Turkish side Beşiktaş are both targeting the Udinese keeper, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Okoye had a fantastic 2025/26 Serie A season. He kept 10 clean sheets and let in 32 goals in 30 matches. His performances helped Udinese finish comfortably in 10th place in the league. This has made the 26-year-old one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the division.

Juventus were one of the first clubs to show interest. They wanted to improve their goalkeeping options and initially went after Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa. But they faced challenges in that deal.

Reports from Italian outlet Il Messaggero Veneto via Tuttomercatoweb say Juventus then shifted their focus to Okoye. Udinese has set a €15m price tag for the Nigerian goalkeeper. This amount is similar to what Juventus were willing to pay for the Argentine keeper, showing how much Udinese values Okoye.

Now, it seems Juventus is not the only club watching his situation. Eagle Media reports that Beşiktaş has also made Okoye a priority as they build a strong team under manager Vincenzo Italiano. They aim to compete for major titles next season.

Beşiktaş conceded 40 goals in the Turkish Süper Lig last season. Improving their goalkeeping is a top priority, and Okoye is seen as a perfect fit for this need.

His skill in making important saves, calmness with the ball, and strong presence in the box make him an appealing option for clubs looking for a solid number one goalkeeper.

Okoye has two years left on his contract with Udinese. The club does not need to sell him urgently. Their €15m asking price shows they want to get good value for a goalkeeper who has consistently performed well in Serie A.
