Osun APC Urges Voters to Support Candidates, Says Hard Times Will Pass

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Osun State, has shown support for President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms. They called on voters to back all party candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The party shared this in a statement on Saturday in Osogbo. The statement was released after a meeting and was signed by Kunle Odeyemi and Femi Kujembola.

The APC also backed the reelection of two current lawmakers from Osun East in the Senate. They are Francis Fadahunsi and Olusanya Omirin, who represents Ijesa South Federal Constituency.

Voters were encouraged to support Timothy Owoeye, the party’s candidate for Ilesa East State Constituency, Babatunde Komolafe, the Atakumosa East and West State Constituency candidate, and Abayomi Ojo, the candidate for Ilesa West State Constituency.

In discussing the country's economy, the party recognized that Nigeria is facing some challenges due to the tough economic choices made by the President. They assured citizens that the country will overcome these hardships in time.

The statement included, "The entire Leadership Of The Party in IJESA SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY hereby resolved and reaffirmed the confidence and unalloyed commitment of the leaders and members in the pedigree, character, competency, service delivery and experience of Senator Francis Adenigba FADAUNSI as the candidate of the Party for Senate."

It continued, "In the same irrevocably unanimous decision, the party resolved and reaffirmed their unreserved confidence in Hon. Olusanya Omirin for House of Representatives, and all its candidates listed below for the State Constituency Election. Rt. Hon. Timothy ADIGUN Owoeye for Ilesa East State Constituency, Babatunde Festus Komolafe for Atakumosa East and West State Constituency, and Hon. Abayomi Ojo for Ilesa West State Constituency."

The party leadership also reaffirmed their confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms and his Vice President, Kassim Shettima. They admitted that while there are challenges from tough economic decisions, they believe that the people will overcome these hardships eventually.

The APC is asking for strong support from voters in the upcoming elections. They also called for peace, unity, and harmony among the people.

The party expressed trust in the people of Ijesa South Federal Constituency, noting that their desire to vote for APC shows that Ijesaland is still a center for progress in the state. They promised to continue serving with respect for the dignity of the electorate and the fear of God.
