The leaders and members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement are deeply saddened by the news of a tragic crash involving a Nigerian military aircraft. This accident took the lives of brave officers from the Nigerian Navy and other personnel on board.

National Coordinator Sunday Asuku shared a statement from the Grand Patron of the Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo. He called the crash a painful loss for our Armed Forces and for Nigeria.

“These officers paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, serving our country with courage, patriotism and unwavering commitment,” Tompolo said.

In light of this tragedy, the Grand Patron has ordered a one-week suspension of all campaign activities for the 2027 presidential election. He sent heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the entire Nigerian Armed Forces, the Government and people of Ondo State, and especially to the families, friends and colleagues of the fallen officers.

“We stand with Mr President, who has already mourned this incident, in saying that the sacrifice of our Air Force and Naval personnel who risk their lives every day to protect Nigeria will never be forgotten.

“We commend the Nigerian Air Force, the Nigerian Navy, first responders, and local residents who faced tough conditions to help with the search and rescue efforts.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement prays for the peaceful rest of the souls of those who have departed. They ask Almighty God to give their families strength to cope with this great loss.

“We also call on the military authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into what caused the crash to stop it from happening again.

“May the souls of our fallen heroes rest in perfect peace, and may God keep our troops safe on land, in the air and at sea.”
