The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with support from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has formed Appeal Panels to handle complaints from its primaries for presidential, governorship, state, and National Assembly positions.

The panels aim to ensure fairness, transparency, and democracy within the party's electoral process.

On Thursday, the National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, shared that these panels will review complaints from candidates and other concerned parties.

"The appeal panels will hear and review appeals from contestants and stakeholders who are dissatisfied with the outcome of the primaries.

They will also make recommendations according to the party’s Constitution, Electoral Guidelines, and relevant legal provisions," he explained.

Mr. Mohammed noted that this action shows PDP’s commitment to having credible candidate selection processes ahead of the upcoming elections.

He mentioned that the party’s National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, will lead the governorship and presidential appeals panel.

He also stated that the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, is part of this panel.

Mr. Mohammed said Suleiman Afolagbe will head the states and National Assembly appeals panel.

The states and National Assembly appeals panel, which has nine members, will meet on June 8 and June 9.

They will gather at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

Furthermore, Mr. Mohammed revealed that the 24-member governorship and presidential appeals panel will meet on June 10.

This panel will also convene at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
