Barcelona star Raphinha has agreed to a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2030. Sporting director Deco announced this on Saturday during the club’s general assembly.
The Brazilian winger has had an amazing start to the season. He is currently at the top of La Liga’s goalscoring charts with nine goals in six games, even while playing as a central striker, which is not his usual position.
Deco said, “Raphinha’s renewal is quite advanced… Rafa will be with us for the next four years.” This news is a big boost for the team as they look to maintain their strong performance.
In addition to Raphinha, Deco also mentioned that young players Xavi Espart and Marc Bernal would sign new contracts soon. He noted, “They are three players who we’ve got sorted for renewals in the last week.”
Raphinha, who is 29, joined Barcelona from Leeds in 2022. He quickly became an important player after coach Hansi Flick took over in 2024.
