Lagos is getting ready for one of its biggest electronic dance music events this year. Roadblock 2026 will happen on Saturday, December 19, 2026. The organisers promise this edition will have the largest and most exciting setup yet.
In a statement shared with Saturday Beats, the organisers called Roadblock "Africa’s definitive Afro-Electronic Dance Music event." They mentioned that this year's theme is "Vibe Lagos. Vibe The World."
The organisers expect more than 6,000 party-goers to show up. The event will have the usual all-white or all-black dress code. Lagos will turn into what they call "the biggest club on earth."
This year’s edition will also have a new stage design. There will be a 36-foot illuminated “Broken Earth” stage. There will be a hydraulic DJ platform that can lift performers 30 feet into the air during what they call the “Ascension” moment.
Attendees will enjoy cinematic lighting, stunning visual effects, and live performers. The event will also feature the brand's famous confetti displays.
Roadblock has announced internationally acclaimed Afro-electronic DJ, Heaven Sam, as one of the headliners. Other performers include global DJ Ms. DSF and Nigerian DJ, Dope Caesar. More local and international artists will be revealed soon.
Dr Felix King Eiremiokhae, the Chief Architect of Roadblock, spoke about the vision for the event. He said the festival is more than just a party.
"Roadblock is more than just a party. It’s an experience built on feeling, energy and human connection. It’s about bringing thousands of people together through music, movement and shared emotion," he said.
The organisers said the event, produced by Oracle Experience and powered by Desperados beer, aims to make Roadblock one of Africa’s top live entertainment events.
