Russia got ready for their friendly match against Nigeria on Tuesday by beating Namibia 6-0 on Saturday.
The Russian team led 1-0 at half-time and showed their strength in the second half in Yekaterinburg. They secured the win with a solid performance.
Lechi Sadulaev scored the first goal for Russia in the 37th minute. Nine minutes into the second half, Danil Prutsev added the second goal.
Konstantin Tyukavin scored the third goal in the 65th minute. Then, with just six minutes left in the game, Maksim Glushenkov made it 4-0.
Maksim Petrov scored from the penalty spot three minutes later, bringing Russia's total to five goals. Namibia's night got worse in stoppage time when Kamaijanda Ndisiro accidentally scored an own goal, ending the match 6-0.
Russia will now focus on their match against the Super Eagles at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday.
The last time Nigeria faced Russia, they played to a 1-1 draw in June 2025. Tolu Arokodare scored for Nigeria after Semi Ajayi had put the ball in his own net.
