On Thursday, PUNCH Online reported on Sky Sports Premier League that the 2025/26 Premier League season will have 10 clubs owned by Americans or with major American investments. This shows that the United States is the biggest foreign owner in England’s top league.
Arsenal is owned by Stan Kroenke through Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. Aston Villa has American billionaire Wes Edens as part of its ownership through V Sports.
Bournemouth is under the control of businessman Bill Foley. Chelsea is owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital after their takeover in 2022.
Crystal Palace has several American investors, including Woody Johnson, Josh Harris, and David Blitzer. Everton is owned by Dan Friedkin through The Friedkin Group.
Fulham is still owned by Shahid Khan. Leeds United is controlled by 49ers Enterprises, while Manchester United remains mostly owned by the Glazer family.
If Jeff Bezos joins the proposed Liverpool group, it would boost American investment in the Premier League. However, Fenway Sports Group is likely to keep overall control of the club.
