The Universal Boxing Council has shared that its “Night of Champions” series is back with Episode 2 on September 26. This event promises a lineup of international and continental title fights.
In a statement on Wednesday, they mentioned the card will include one international match, described as a cross-border clash with high stakes. There will also be a UBC African title fight where top contenders will compete for the continental belt.
The event will highlight the best of Nigerian boxing talent.
This event comes after the successful opener of the series. Organisers say they expect an explosive night of boxing.
The UBC is already planning for a bigger Episode 3, called “The Banga.” They claim this next event will be the highlight of the season.
Episode 3 will include UBC African, international, and world title fights. It will also have two Nigerian national title bouts featuring female boxers, a heavyweight match with Blessing Chukwuede, and a welterweight fight with Precious Anime.
They have not finalized the venue for Episode 3 yet. The National Stadium in Lagos and a venue in Apapa, Lagos, are the top choices.
The UBC said sponsors and advertisers who want to get involved can reach out through Nanmet Promotions. They also asked fighters, managers, and agents looking to join the Episode 3 card to contact the organisation’s matchmakers.
