Police have arrested an accountant linked to a burglary in Lagos, where items worth N150 million were stolen. The suspect is 35-year-old Chukwudi Okeke. He was caught by officers from the Lagos State Police Command after they received a tip-off.
The burglary took place in a luxury apartment in Lekki, Lagos. The apartment owner reported the theft after noticing that expensive jewelry, electronics, and cash were missing.
During their investigation, police traced the stolen items back to Okeke. He allegedly confessed to the crime. Okeke said he worked with a group of accomplices who helped him carry out the burglary.
Idowu Owohunwa, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, confirmed the arrest. He assured the public that they are working hard to catch the other suspects involved in the crime. He also urged residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity in their areas to the police.
