D’Tigers player Precious Achiuwa scored 24 points, but the Sacramento Kings lost 132-120 to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Centre. The Kings are still looking for their first win in the 2026/27 NBA season.
The Kings started this game with four losses and hoped to change their luck in New Orleans. But the strong Pelicans team was too much for them.
Sacramento began well, winning the first quarter 30-24.
However, they struggled after that. They lost the second quarter 39-31 and the third quarter 39-27, putting them behind. They managed to win the fourth quarter 32-30, but it was not enough to close the 12-point gap.
Rookie guard Darius Acuff Jr. led the Kings with a game-high 34 points, 14 assists, and six rebounds in 41 minutes. This marked his first double-double in the NBA.
Achiuwa almost got a double-double too. He finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and a team-high four steals in 41 minutes. De’Andre Hunter also scored 24 points, while Zach LaVine added 21. Centre Domantas Sabonis grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds, along with nine points and seven assists.
