Afrilition: A New Operating System for Africa's Future

Afrilition is a unique operating system created to help Africa develop and evolve. The younger generation needs fresh ideas to embrace their full humanity. They do not need anyone's permission to create their own path in a world that is becoming more diverse.

Afrilition is a special term for Africa's growth and change. It serves as an operating system for the progress of African generations. A personal lesson inspired its creation. A few years back, I borrowed a Yoruba word and concept to show how Nigeria could transform from over 372 ethnic groups into a united nation with trust and cooperation. I wrote a book titled Omoluwabi 2.0: A Code of Transformation in 21st-Century Nigeria. It was a revealing journey. Omoluwabi is from the Oyo Yoruba, while other Yoruba groups spell it Omoluabi, especially in today’s Osun State.

The choice of Omoluwabi honors the historical pan-Yoruba states: Oyo and Ibadan Empires, which both use the Omoluwabi spelling. Unfortunately, it felt more natural to localize the spelling. Another challenge was that many people thought I was promoting Yoruba dominance by using a Yoruba name. My true intention was to create a model based on our indigenous knowledge systems. Even though I was using a traditional concept, the content was original, yet many kept comparing it to an imagined ideal.

One day, the Government of Osun State asked me to provide my books to help start an Omoluabi Club for kids. They also invited me to speak at the club’s launch in a stadium. I arrived early but had to wait three hours for the event to start. After the long wait, the governor’s aide came to prep me for my speech. In an ironic twist, he first asked about the cap for the buba and sokoto I was wearing. He insisted that as the writer of Omoluwabi, I should wear a cap.

Like any operating system, Afrilition serves as a bridge between the software and hardware of Africa in the 21st century. It captures the spirit and power of manifestation, using ideas that shaped generations of African coding. It includes mathematical concepts like fractals, Dogon Astrophysics, binary logic, and data compression from Ifa.

I had my last button on my buba open since it was so hot in Osogbo. This was not acceptable to him. He told me I had to give my speech in Yoruba, which I learned just five minutes before going on stage. He added that most of my speaking time would go to a professor and famous Nollywood actor who was a more recognized face of Omoluabi. I realized that transformation needs its own code and brand and that using existing codes comes with certain challenges.

Afrilition does not carry the burdens of past psychological models. It is not limited by years of successes and failures. Like any operating system, it acts as a bridge between the software and hardware of Africa today. It embodies the spirit and power of manifestation, using dynamics that shaped generations of African coding through fractals, Dogon Astrophysics, binary logic, and Ifa data compression. Afrilition is built on spiritual technology, as mentioned in the Bible, John 1:1: “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the Word was God himself.” This Word is what brings ideas to life.

Africans have created ways to use this technology, developing platforms that include spiritual, psychological, physical, and social aspects. For instance, the Yoruba term Afosé means À fi ohun sé, now used as Àsé or Àxé in Brazil. This means our words manifest or manifest words, often used as a powerful declaration. This is why Congo Square is more than just music, and the Cucaracha step in Salsa, Mambo, and Chachacha is filled with the essence of Bàtà dancing.

These codes often remain hidden, waiting for the wise to discover them.
