Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare says Ajax wants to win every tournament they join. This comes after he made a strong start to his loan at the Dutch club, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Arokodare scored his seventh goal for Ajax in the 1-1 draw with NEC Nijmegen on Saturday. He has four league goals and three in the UEFA Conference League.

The 25-year-old joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan in July. Ajax has the option to buy him permanently. He has played 10 competitive matches for the club.

In an exclusive chat with Footy-Africa, Arokodare said he is happy in Amsterdam.
“It has been lovely; it has been amazing. The Dutch people have been amazing so far. My teammates have been great. The club has been outstanding. I love the people. I love the style of football. I love the fans so much,” he said.

He mentioned that the fans have shown him love on and off the pitch, even in his messages.
On Ajax’s goals, the striker said, “We are going to try to win everything that is there to win, in every competition we are participating in. We are Ajax, so we always want to be the best, be number one.”

This start is a big improvement from his time at Wolves, where he scored three Premier League goals after moving from Belgian club Genk. He left the English club amid controversy over a training-ground incident, which he later spoke about.

At Ajax, his physical strength helps him keep defenders away and involve his teammates. His ability in the air makes him a danger from crosses, as shown by his goal against NEC.
