Arsenal scored three goals in six minutes to beat Lille 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. This win also extends their winning run in the league phase of the competition to 14 matches.

Jurrien Timber, Ebere Eze, and Bukayo Saka were the scorers for Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This is their second victory in the Champions League this season.

After a scoreless first half, Timber opened the scoring in the 64th minute. He received a pass from Noni Madueke inside the box and lifted the ball over Lille’s goalkeeper, Berke Ozer.

Arsenal made it 2-0 just three minutes later. Eze finished a counter-attack after Martin Odegaard found Bruno Guimaraes. Guimaraes' pass set up Saka, who assisted Eze.

Saka wrapped up the scoring in the 71st minute. He had just come off the bench. The winger exchanged passes with Odegaard, and Kai Havertz returned the ball to him. Saka then finished into the bottom corner.

According to Arsenal’s match report on their website, this goal was Saka’s 19th in European competitions. He is now Arsenal’s second-highest goalscorer in Europe, just behind Thierry Henry.

This victory also means Arsenal has won 14 matches in the Champions League league phase. They are now just three wins away from Bayern Munich’s record of 17.

Lille had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half. Ayase Ueda scored after a deflected effort, but a VAR check confirmed he was offside.

Arsenal’s goalkeeper, David Raya, kept a clean sheet. He matched David Seaman’s record of 38 Champions League appearances for Arsenal.

Next, Arsenal will play against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday. After that, they will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, October 21.
