Aston Villa has agreed with Chelsea to bring in Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho on loan. A buy clause is included and it will become mandatory if certain conditions are met.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared this news on X on Wednesday. Both clubs have completed the agreement. Villa manager Unai Emery played a key role in making this happen as he wanted Garnacho to join the team.
Romano said the obligation-to-buy clause will be easy to trigger. Chelsea hopes the transfer will turn permanent by 2027.
Garnacho will sign a four-year contract before moving to Villa Park. He is currently finishing up the final part of his medical.
The 22-year-old winger will give Villa more attacking options as Emery works on improving his squad.
This loan deal is another important move for Chelsea. They expect to secure a future permanent fee for Garnacho as part of this agreement.
While at Chelsea, Garnacho made 43 appearances in all competitions. He started 22 matches and spent 2,397 minutes on the pitch.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the Argentine winger scored eight goals and provided four assists.
