Augsburg midfielder Robin Fellhauer scored the fastest goal in Bundesliga history on Saturday. He netted in under nine seconds against Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga shared the news on its website after Fellhauer's impressive strike in the match.
Fellhauer took advantage of a mistake by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer right after kick-off to set this new record.
Bayern kicked off the match, with striker Harry Kane passing the ball back to Neuer from the center circle.
But Neuer took a heavy touch before trying to lift the ball over the approaching Fellhauer. The Augsburg midfielder read the situation well, intercepted the ball, and quickly ran forward before scoring.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw. Bayern managed to come back twice after falling behind, sharing the points with Augsburg.
Fellhauer's goal broke the old record of nine seconds. That record was previously held by Kevin Volland and Karim Bellarabi.
Volland scored for Hoffenheim against Bayern in 2015. Bellarabi scored for Bayer Leverkusen against Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
