Yoruba actor Olanrewaju "Baba Ijesha" James and his wife, fashion stylist Abiodun Tokunbo, have welcomed a new baby boy.
Baba Ijesha shared the news on his Facebook page on Monday.
He revealed that their son’s name is King Kagar. He has over four thousand followers on Instagram.
Baba Ijesha said God has been writing their story in ways that others cannot see.
"In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy.
"God gave me more than I prayed for, my ever beautiful wife, strong jagaban, Abikesde mi owoh, ceolumineeofficial, who became a mother of my son King Kagar, Omiyinka," his post read.
On her Instagram page, Anjy Luminee Couture CEO announced that the moment she and Baba Ijesha had been waiting for had finally come.
She said their hearts are full of love and that Kagar has come to brighten their lives.
She wrote: "Psalm 139:13. Jeremiah 29:11. Numbers 6:24. Jeremiah 1:15. You’re chosen King Kagar. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, Ariyo Osuu, 12 years after Anjola Sarigu. Our little miracle is finally here! My father, thank you for the precious gift of this beautiful baby boy. We dedicate his life to you today.
"Lord, place a hedge of protection around him, guard his health, and grant him peaceful sleep. We pray that he will grow to be a man of courage, wisdom, and deep faith. Fill his heart with your love and guide his steps all the days of his life… I’m so grateful."
Friends and colleagues of the new mother and Baba Ijesha have filled the comment sections of their posts with congratulatory messages after the birth of their son.
Actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi, a close friend of Baba Ijesha, shared a video of the couple on his Instagram page, congratulating them on baby Kagar’s arrival.
"And to God be the glory, God just blessed Omiyinka Olanrewaju James, a.k.a. Baba Ijesha, and CEO of Luminee, with a bouncing baby boy. Congratulations are now in order. Olurun ti ka moo wa. Thank you, Lord," Mr Fabiyi wrote.
There are no public records showing when they got married. In his post, Baba Ijesha called her his wife, but she did not call him her husband in her post.
In March, Baba Ijesha said in an interview on the "Talk to B" podcast with actress Biola Adebayo that he was married before.
He said the marriage was peaceful at first, but trouble started when his wife went to the United Kingdom for a master’s degree.
Baba Ijesha mentioned that he fully supported her plans. He bought her flight ticket, processed her visa, and handled everything to make her trip easy. Later, he found out that her trip was not about studying.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that Baba Ijesha was released from prison in November 2025 after serving time for a sexual assault conviction.
