Beşiktaş has started looking for a possible replacement for Super Eagles player Wilfred Ndidi. There is uncertainty about his future at the Turkish club, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Ndidi joined the Istanbul club from Leicester City in August 2025 for around €8 million. His strong performances in the 2025/26 season have caught the attention of clubs in the Saudi Pro League and other European teams.
The Nigeria international quickly became one of Beşiktaş’ key players. He has made 31 appearances in all competitions and has been vital in midfield.
Even though he has a contract until June 2028, reports from Turkey say Beşiktaş may listen to offers for the 29-year-old if the price is right. The club is thought to want at least €10 million and could ask for as much as €15 million for him.
While Saudi clubs are preparing offers for Ndidi, he has also been linked to a possible return to top European football. Manchester United and Ajax are said to be watching his situation as the summer transfer window approaches.
With Ndidi's departure seeming likely, Beşiktaş has started talks with Fiorentina about Italian midfielder Rolando Mandragora, according to reports from Turkey.
This move is said to be pushed by Beşiktaş's new manager Vincenzo Italiano. He previously worked with Mandragora at Fiorentina and believes the 28-year-old would be a good replacement if Ndidi leaves.
Mandragora had a strong season in Serie A last year. He scored seven goals and provided three assists in 34 league matches. His experience and ability to control games from midfield make him a top target for the Turkish club.
Beşiktaş reportedly values Mandragora at around €9 million. They might consider a loan deal with an option to buy if Fiorentina asks for more than they can afford.
Ndidi started his European career with Belgian team Genk in 2015 before moving to Leicester City. He has spent over ten years playing in Europe and is one of Nigeria’s most experienced midfielders.
