A public relations and communications firm based in Lagos, Blanche Aigle Communications, has gained international attention. Their Gino World Jollof Festival campaign is now on the shortlist for the 2026 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The agency also became a finalist at the 2026 SABRE Awards EMEA. These are two highly respected awards in the communications field. Cannes Lions is seen as the top awards show for advertising, marketing, and creative communications. The SABRE Awards celebrate excellence in branding, reputation, and engagement.
Blanche Aigle shared this news in a statement on Monday. Their campaign featuring celebrity chef Hilda Baci was selected in the Brand Experience & Activation category at Cannes Lions. This came after passing through 158 shortlisted entries out of 1,551 submissions from around the world.
The campaign also made it to the Diamond Geographic Category for Africa at the 2026 SABRE Awards EMEA. A jury of industry experts judged over 2,000 entries for these awards.
The agency said they worked with Gino and Ms Baci to create the campaign. They aimed to celebrate Nigerian cuisine with a communications strategy that included public relations, experiential marketing, influencer engagement, event execution, and storytelling.
Blanche Aigle noted that this initiative generated over six billion media impressions worldwide. It also led to two Guinness World Records, showcasing Nigerian cuisine and culture to audiences globally.
Nene Bejide, the agency’s Founder and Lead Consultant, commented on the recognition. She sees it as proof of the power of storytelling that connects with culture.
“Being recognised by both Cannes Lions and the SABRE Awards shows the strength of culturally relevant storytelling and integrated communications. The Gino World Jollof Festival showed what can happen when strategy, creativity, execution, and real cultural insight come together,” she said.
She added that this recognition highlights the agency’s dedication to creating campaigns that mix strategic thinking, creativity, and measurable results.
Blanche Aigle Communications, founded in Lagos, offers strategic communications and public relations services. Their work spans different sectors, including technology, finance, lifestyle, corporate communications, and fast-moving consumer goods.
This recognition boosts the international profile of campaigns from Nigeria. It also shows how competitive African communications agencies are becoming on the global stage.
