Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has opened up about his strong support for Cristiano Ronaldo. He said they chat regularly, showing his fan loyalty to the football star.
Davido shared this during a livestream with content creator and streamer Carter Efe.
The singer of the hit song 'If' explained that he backed Portugal in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup because of his friendship with players on the team.
"Because I have a lot of friends in the Portuguese team. I want Portugal to win," Davido said.
When Efe asked if his support was mainly because of Ronaldo, Davido responded, "I love Ronaldo, I’m a CR7 fan."
He went on to say that he has ongoing chats with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. He expressed this in Pidgin English, saying he talks to the "legend back to back."
Davido then showed Efe what looked like a chat with Ronaldo on his phone.
Efe reacted with excitement, repeatedly shouting, "God, I don mad! I don mad! I don mad! I don mad!"
