Beauty entrepreneur and former star of Real Housewives of Lagos, Adeola “Diiadem” Adeyemi, has spoken out about her falling out with fellow beauty entrepreneur, Dabota Lawson. This comes amid a heated social media fight over a N5 million birthday gift.
The situation got worse when Diiadem shared transaction details showing that Lawson sent her N5 million as a birthday gift. But later, the money was returned.
In posts on Snapchat that went viral on Thursday, Diiadem talked about what she called an ongoing “hate train and smear campaigns” against her.
She showed a transaction receipt from Providus Bank dated January 12, 2026. It showed a N5 million transfer from Lawson Dabota to Adeyemi Adeola Chizoba, with the note, “Happy birthday in advance.”
Diiadem said she publicly thanked Lawson for the gift. But soon after, she learned that the money needed to be returned.
She wrote, “Well, as soon as it was posted, I was told it’s called ‘girls game’ and needs to be returned. Which I did immediately.”
She later shared a notification from GTBank showing that the N5 million was sent back to Lawson.
Diiadem also accused Lawson of leaking information about her to bloggers. She said Lawson did something similar to another RHOLagos cast member, Sophia Momodu, during the show’s “boat saga.”
According to her, Lawson eventually admitted to this.
Diiadem mentioned that she had told Lawson to stay away from her before. But later, they made up after her mentor, Eryca Freemantle, encouraged her to reconcile.
She urged Lawson to stop bringing her name into discussions, insisting that no campaign could ruin her brand and business.
BACKGROUND OF THE DISPUTE
This latest conflict comes after fans noticed Diiadem’s silence on Lawson’s birthday in June 2026. This was surprising since Lawson had publicly supported Diiadem during her grand 35th birthday celebration earlier that year.
Both entrepreneurs, who founded Beauty by AD and Dabota Cosmetics, had seemed close during the third season of The Real Housewives of Lagos. They even represented Nigerian creativity at events like the UK House of Lords.
In response to Diiadem’s claims, Lawson accused her of being jealous of her success and opportunities.
Lawson said she first met Diiadem as a fan before allowing her personal access. She also claimed that Diiadem asked her to invite wealthy men to parties and show off money to appear successful.
About the N5 million issue, Lawson said she actually sprayed more than that amount at Diiadem’s birthday party. She also brought others who sprayed money and organized souvenirs for the guests.
The fight took a personal turn when Lawson alleged that Diiadem had romantic ties with married men.
She specifically mentioned Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of actress Tonto Dikeh, who later became linked to Rosy Meurer.
Lawson claimed Diiadem traveled to Abuja and quickly started showing her relationship with Churchill, even being affectionate in a nightclub.
She said she processed visas for Diiadem and Churchill for a trip to Bali. Lawson warned Diiadem not to attend Churchill’s son’s birthday while still involved with him and being friends with his ex-wife.
Diiadem acknowledged knowing Churchill but disputed Lawson’s version of their relationship.
She said the main issue was that Churchill rejected Lawson’s friend, Ehi Ogbebor. Diiadem claimed Lawson spent a lot of time trying to set them up while also trying to introduce Diiadem to Churchill.
Diiadem also accused Lawson of speaking badly about Tonto Dikeh and telling her not to visit Dikeh in Abuja.
Additionally, she mentioned Lawson’s supposed admiration for the husband of Olori Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, and other personal issues linked to her home and past relationships.
LAWSON'S RESPONSE
In her reply, Lawson stated she supported Diiadem in many ways, including during her pregnancy. She also reiterated that she helped process visas for Diiadem and Churchill for their Bali trip.
Lawson repeated her claims that Diiadem asked her to invite wealthy men to events and that financial help regarding aso-ebi launches had been misrepresented.
She described their friendship as becoming one-sided and said disagreements about mutual friends finally broke them apart.
Lawson accused Diiadem of being overly focused on her former friend, Christian Kayode, known as Berbiedoll, even after their fallout years ago.
Lawson claimed Diiadem contacted personal shoppers to track Berbiedoll’s activities and used other accounts to send negative messages about her on Snapchat.
Berbiedoll later joined the conversation, saying she had stayed quiet for years but felt the need to respond to the claims.
She described Diiadem as a “terrible friend,” claiming she supported Diiadem and helped promote her during their time as friends.
Berbiedoll alleged that Diiadem fired a team member for working with her and put photographers in situations where they had to choose sides.
She claimed Diiadem seemed threatened by other women’s success but asked to be left out of the ongoing fight.
Meanwhile, Ehi Ogbebor got involved after Diiadem brought up claims about Churchill.
In a voice note going around online, Ogbebor denied having a romantic relationship with Churchill. She criticized him and accused Diiadem of dragging her into the mess.
Ogbebor also made claims about a trip to Uyo over ten years ago and mentioned past living arrangements with Diiadem and Churchill.
She warned Diiadem against bringing her into the dispute again.
Diiadem later shared parts of the voice note while continuing to explain her side of the story.
