What Happened Between Diiadem and Dabota from Real Housewives of Lagos?

What started as a close friendship between The Real Housewives of Lagos stars Adeola "Diiadem" Adeyemi and Dabota Lawson has turned into a public fallout on social media. Both women are now making claims about money, business deals, bloggers, and their past relationship.

Diiadem and Dabota, both known for their beauty businesses, became friends after meeting in the beauty industry. They later appeared together in the third season of The Real Housewives of Lagos, where they were introduced as new cast members.

They often celebrated their friendship publicly, showing up together and supporting each other's businesses. But reports surfaced earlier this week that the friendship had soured, and they were no longer following each other online. Some reports hinted that jealousy might be the reason for their falling out, but neither woman confirmed this at first.

Things escalated when Diiadem took to Snapchat on Thursday to talk about what she called online "hate" and "smear campaigns" against her.

Diiadem Accuses Dabota
In several posts, Diiadem accused Dabota of sharing information about her through bloggers. She also mentioned a ₦5 million transfer that was linked to a birthday gift from Dabota, claiming she was later asked to return the money.

Diiadem wrote, "Anyone remembered this alert I posted hyping Dabota? Well as soon as it was posted, I was told it’s called ‘girls game’ and needs to be returned. Which I did immediately."

She also claimed that Dabota had shared her personal information with bloggers. "Get my name off your mouth Dabota Lawson and leave me alone," she said.

Diiadem added that Dabota often involves bloggers when she falls out with people. "Every time you fall out with someone, it seems like your first instinct is to use bloggers to tear them down," she said.

She expressed her frustration when her daughter's picture appeared on a blog. "I felt like a failed parent when I saw my daughter’s face on that dirty blog," she said.

Diiadem finished her post by asking to be left out of any further drama. "I refuse to be used, manipulated, or dragged into unnecessary drama. Please, get over yourself and leave me alone. I just want to live," she said.

Dabota Responds
Dabota quickly replied to Diiadem’s posts. She challenged Diiadem to explain what she thought Dabota had done to cause their fallout.

She mentioned that things became tense after she secured funding from a finance company that Diiadem had also approached.

"SAY EXACTLY WHAT DABOTA LAWSON DID TO YOU," she wrote. "Other than the fact that I secured a funding opportunity which you also applied for but did not follow through with the required process, renovated and rebranded my store and business, and launched a new innovation which I personally showed you when the first samples arrived, I genuinely cannot identify exactly what I have done to you," she added.

Dabota also disagreed with parts of Diiadem’s claims about issues with bloggers. She mentioned her fight with Sophia Momodu, saying she addressed it directly during The Real Housewives of Lagos.

"Speaking of Sophia: as I have already said, the boat was hired. Whether it appeared on a blog or not, I said what I had to say directly to her face on national television, without mincing my words. We have since moved past that situation," Dabota said.

She then dared Diiadem to provide proof for the accusations she made. "Speaking of the blogger, I dare you to publish the evidence supporting every allegation you have made," Dabota said.

Money Issues Emerge
The disagreement also touched on their financial dealings. Diiadem claimed she borrowed ₦1 million from Dabota during a meeting because she could not transfer the money at that moment.

She said she later paid back the money plus more. "And yes, I borrowed ₦1 million from you because we were in a meeting and I couldn’t make a transfer at that moment. When I paid you back, I sent ₦1.5 million and even added extra so you could buy gifts for your daughter," she said.

Diiadem also questioned Dabota’s account of money she allegedly sprayed at her party, saying there was a disagreement about what happened to that money afterwards.

Diiadem returned to Snapchat with another response, challenging Dabota’s version of their disagreement. She mentioned a $10,000 funding opportunity and a project involving Jarvis.

On the Jarvis issue, Diiadem claimed Dabota wanted to take part in it but got upset when she wasn’t invited. "As for Jarvis, you desperately wanted to be part of it. When I didn’t invite you, you got upset," she said.

Diiadem also referenced Dabota’s comments about a past relationship without going into personal details that would explain the disagreement.

Friendship Breaks Down
The latest exchange shows that the disagreement involves more than one issue. Both women point to many unresolved matters around their friendship, business dealings, finances, and public image.

Diiadem continues to say she wants Dabota to stop talking about her publicly. Dabota, on the other hand, challenges her to clearly say what she thinks went wrong.

This fallout has now gone beyond the two of them, with screenshots of their Snapchat posts spreading on social media and blogs.

Their drama has caught more attention because of their roles on The Real Housewives of Lagos, where they were part of the show’s third-season cast. Fans are now debating what caused the friendship to fall apart.
