The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has sent over 280 trucks filled with flour and food supplies to Gaza. This move aims to tackle a serious shortage of bread in the area.

The ERC reported that more than 190 trucks left last week. Additionally, over 90 trucks were sent on Sunday alone.

These supplies will go to the Egyptian Relief Committee in Gaza. They will be responsible for sharing the food with bakeries that have been affected.

On Sunday morning, the ERC also sent an aid convoy to Gaza. This convoy carried more than 3,676 tonnes of humanitarian supplies. This includes flour, food baskets, relief items, medicines, and fuel for hospitals and bakeries.

This is the 302nd convoy from Egypt to Gaza since the ERC started its aid efforts in late July 2025.

The ERC mentioned that they have kept a strong presence since the crisis started. They have helped deliver over 1 million tonnes of humanitarian aid with the support of more than 75,000 volunteers.
