England finished at the top of Group L after beating Panama 2-0 in their last group match. Croatia also secured their spot in the Round of 32 by defeating Ghana 2-1 on Saturday.

Croatia took the lead in the 31st minute with a goal from Petar Sučić. He scored thanks to a great assist from Mateo Kovačić. Croatia had most of the ball in the first half and created several chances against Ghana’s defense.

Luka Modrić, the experienced midfielder, controlled the game from the middle. He helped Croatia keep attacking. Ghana found it tough to break through Croatia’s strong defense even though they tried to create chances.

After halftime, Ghana played better and equalized in the 73rd minute. Daryl Luckassen scored with an assist from Ernest Nuamah, giving Ghana some hope. Croatia's Ivan Perišić got a yellow card as the match got more intense. But Croatia regained the lead with Nikola Vlašić’s goal eight minutes before the end. Vlašić scored after receiving a pass from Modrić, sealing the important win for Croatia.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Croatia will now face the runners-up from Group K. Ghana finished with four points in the group stage, which was enough for them to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.

On the other hand, England ended their group stage with a 2-0 win over Panama. The Three Lions found it hard to score in the first half against a tough Panama team. England finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute when Jude Bellingham scored after receiving a pass from Bukayo Saka during a quick attack.

Just five minutes later, England made it 2-0 with a goal from their captain, Harry Kane, in the 67th minute. Kane scored with an assist from Bellingham, helping England take control of the match.

There were some yellow cards given out in the match, with Panama’s José Fajardo and Adalberto Andrade booked, along with England’s Jarell Quansah. England managed the final minutes well, keeping Panama from getting back into the game. While Panama showed determination, they could not create clear chances against England.

England will face a third-placed team from another group in the Round of 32. Possible opponents include Senegal or DR Congo, depending on the final group standings. Sadly, Panama has been knocked out of the tournament after the Group L matches.
