Enugu Governor Appoints Nollywood Stars as Aides

Nollywood actresses Rachael Okonkwo and Eucharia Anunobi have been named aides to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.

The announcement came on Monday from Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to the Enugu State Government.

Mbah approved the appointment of 101 aides. This includes seven Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants, and 88 Special Assistants.

Okonkwo, known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, is now the Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development.

Her full name is Nnenna Rachael Okonkwo. She is famous for her leading role in the Nkoli Nwa Nsukka film series.

On the other hand, veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi has been appointed as Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Enugu-North Zone.

Anunobi became well-known in Nollywood in the 1990s and has acted in over 90 films. Later, she took on the role of an evangelist.

These appointments bring both actresses into the Enugu State Government. Okonkwo will focus on the film and creative industry, while Anunobi will handle women mobilisation in the Enugu-North zone.
