Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has appointed 101 new aides. This group includes special advisers (SAs), senior special assistants (SSAs), and special assistants (SAs).
The Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, announced this in a statement on Monday. He noted that the appointments are effective immediately.
Onyia mentioned that among the appointees, seven are special advisers, six are senior special assistants, and 88 are special assistants.
The special advisers are Fidelis Odo for Inter-Governmental Affairs and Co-ordination, Augustine Okoli for Policy Affairs and Analysis, and Pedro Nwankwo for Stakeholders Relations and Community Affairs.
Others in this group include Chimezie Nkwuo for Economic Development, Vitalis Okonkwo for Grassroots Coordination, Peter Omeje for Commerce and Business Development, and Sam Nwagu for Conflict Resolution and Mediation.
The senior special assistants are Rachael Okonkwo for Film and Creative Industry Development, Okey Ude for Inter-Party and Mobilisation, and Chinedu Chukwunwike for Party Monitoring.
Also, Peter Ogbe will handle Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Chinedu Ozoeluba will deal with Boundary and Land Dispute Resolution, and Frank Udemezue will focus on Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
The special assistants have been given tasks that include forest protection, market sanitation, health facility maintenance, environmental protection, and community development.
Their roles also cover youth engagement, women mobilisation, public communication, infrastructure monitoring, rural development, technology, and innovation, according to the statement.
