eTranzact International Plc has named five new directors after a shift in its majority ownership.
The company shared this news in a statement on Tuesday. This came after 5.17 billion ordinary shares, which is 56.18 percent of its total shares, were transferred to Trademarks Global Concepts Ltd.
The shares were moved by Access Bank Plc, Meristem Trustees Ltd., which acts as trustee for Accelerex Holdings, and eTranzact Global Ltd.
This transfer led to the resignation of five directors. This includes three Non-Executive Directors and two Independent Non-Executive Directors.
The directors leaving are Chuma Ajene, Benjamin Dabra, Afolabi Oladele, Binta Max-Gbinije, and Emeka Onwuamaegbu.
The new directors are Akinwunmi Akinfemiwa, Olatunde Akande, and Doron Grupper as Non-Executive Directors. Omobola Hollist and Mustapha Ajenifuja have been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Directors.
The company said the new directors have experience in areas like corporate leadership, banking, development finance, governance, legal advisory, infrastructure, energy, investment management, and business transformation.
These appointments aim to boost the board’s strategic oversight and help the company meet its long-term goals.
eTranzact also mentioned that it got approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria for these appointments. They are updating their records with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
This ownership change comes after Trademarks Global Concepts Ltd. became the majority shareholder.
eTranzact provides electronic payment processing services and works in Nigeria’s digital payments sector.
The company is dedicated to strong corporate governance, operational excellence, and creating lasting value for shareholders and other stakeholders.
