Fans are celebrating Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw as she turns 55.
The actress shared her birthday news in a post on her verified Instagram account, @k8henshaw, on Sunday.
In the post, she looked back on her life and thanked God for His grace, the lessons learned, and the gift of life.
She wrote, "I have lived. I have loved. I have lost. I have learned. I have fallen. I have risen. And through it all, I have been carried by GRACE.
"As I step into another year, my heart has just two words: THANK YOU. Thank You to the King of Kings, my Heavenly Father, for every chapter.
"For every lesson. For every blessing, seen and unseen. And above all, for the precious LOAN of LIFE.
"Chapter 55 begins. Quietly grateful. Deeply blessed. Completely present. Happy Birthday to me."

Kate Henshaw was born on July 19, 1971, in Cross River State. She is an award-winning actress, fitness lover, and humanitarian. Many see her as one of Nollywood’s top stars.
She started acting in 1993 with the film When the Sun Sets. Since then, she has been in over 100 Nollywood films, known for her diverse roles and strong performances.
Before acting, she was a model in many ads for brands like Shield deodorant.
Henshaw has played many roles in drama, romance, and action films. This has made her a well-respected figure in Nigeria’s film scene.
Her work has earned her many awards, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2008 for her role in Stronger than Pain.
Besides acting, she promotes healthy living and important social issues.
She has judged reality shows and worked with various groups on health, youth, and women's empowerment campaigns.
In 2014, Henshaw tried to enter politics by running for a seat in the House of Representatives with the Peoples Democratic Party.
She remains active in discussing good governance, civic duties, and national progress through her public talks and social media.
