Fulham has made headlines this summer by signing two players from Real Madrid. This move highlights a long history of transfers between the Spanish club and the Premier League. Over the last 30 years, many top players have switched teams, bringing excitement to the league.
From players who helped their new clubs win titles to those whose time in England did not go as planned, these transfers have created some memorable stories. A list released on the EPL website on Tuesday highlighted 13 such players.
As the 2026/27 football season approaches, Fulham has added to their squad by signing 22-year-old striker Gonzalo García and 21-year-old attacking midfielder César Palacios from Real Madrid.
According to Reuters, García joined Fulham for a fee of £34 million. He developed through Real Madrid’s youth academy and played a part in the club's UEFA Champions League and LaLiga victories. Palacios moved for a reported £8.5 million, also coming from the youth ranks of the Spanish club.
The two players will meet again with Álvaro Arbeloa, their former academy coach at Real Madrid, who is now the manager at Fulham.
Meanwhile, there are ongoing reports linking Vinícius Júnior with a move to Arsenal. If the transfer happens, he would be the 16th player to move directly from Real Madrid to a Premier League club, as reported by PUNCH Online.
