Fury and Joshua Fight Agreement Confirmed by Hearn

The highly anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is officially signed, according to Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Fury hinted on Friday that the much-talked-about match might not happen. But Hearn made it clear that the fight is legally agreed upon.

"We’ve signed the contract, we’re waiting for a date," Hearn told DAZN on Sunday.

Hearn emphasized that neither fighter can back out of the deal.

"The fight’s signed. No-one can pull out of the fight. You can’t just pull out of a contract," he said.

The main concern now is where the fight will take place.

The match was expected to happen in the UK in November. But Saudi organizers Sela want to hold it in the United States.

Both Joshua and Fury have separate contracts with Sela. New York’s Madison Square Garden is said to be a top choice for the venue.

The fight is also expected to air on Netflix.

Hearn mentioned that the Joshua team would like the fight to stay in Britain. But they might consider moving it to the U.S. if the conditions are right.

"We know everybody and his dog involved in the fight wants to do the fight in America. We don’t," Hearn said.

The promoter added that talks with Sela are ongoing. He also made it clear that there are no signs the fight is in danger of falling through.

"We’ve told Sela and the team, ‘If you want to do it in America, these are the terms that we can move forward with. But we’d rather not please,'" he said.

Fury and Joshua are expected to meet in one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. The venue and date are the last big details to sort out.
