Remember Evans "Ebo Noah" Eshun, the Ghanaian who calls himself a prophet? He is back in the spotlight after six months. This time, he claims that the heavy rains that caused serious problems in Accra and other places on Monday prove his earlier prophecy about floods.
Reports say at least 13 people have died in Accra. Residents are counting their losses as floodwaters damage homes, roads, and businesses.
Earlier, police arrested Ebo Noah. An Adentan Circuit Court in Accra kept him in custody after he predicted that the world would end with three years of rain starting on December 25, 2025.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page on Monday after getting released, he told Ghanaians to keep praying. He said what he saw in his vision is starting to come true.
Ebo Noah said, "When we talk, you don’t listen, because I am not your pastor. I am not your prophet. I am nobody. But God said, ‘Ebo, go and tell the people that it will rain, it is going to flood.’ I said it, and I was arrested. No problem, but now, see what is happening. See how people’s properties are being destroyed. See their lives.
"I am very sad. You want your pastor to say it before you believe. You want your prophet to say it before you believe. God can use anybody. I have seen it, and I said it, and I was arrested, but no problem, it is all good. But now I want you to do your own thing right. Do your things right."
Ebo Noah also asked God to forgive Ghanaians for not listening to him. He said, "No more talking. The rain will talk for us. Still, the name is Ebo Noah. In the coming days and weeks, a lot will happen. And please, please again, do your things right.
"Father, is this the rain? Is the rain, Father? Father, have mercy. If this is the rain, have mercy. I am interceding for your people. Please, Father," he added.
Previously, reports showed that he claimed God told him to build an ark to prepare for a major flood. On December 24, 2025, he said the ark was about 80 percent finished and insisted it would be the only safe place when disaster came.
However, on Christmas Day, he announced he received another message saying the flood would not happen as he had said. Instead, God told him to build more arks.
After this change in his prophecy, members of the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team arrested him on December 31, 2025. They caught him live-streaming online in the Weija-Gbawe area of Accra.
Police charged him with spreading false information online. He later faced the court on Friday. The court ordered that Ebo Noah stay in police custody for two weeks.
Prosecutors accused him of false communication, misleading the public, and sharing false news. They said these actions break Ghana’s criminal laws. The court also ordered him to go for a psychiatric evaluation at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital to check if he is fit to stand trial.
