Super Eagles players Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey have lost out on Fulham’s 2025/26 Player of the Season award. Welsh forward Harry Wilson has been named the club’s top player after a great season.

Fulham had a decent showing in the Premier League, finishing 11th. They were in the running for a European spot until the last weeks of the season. Unfortunately, a poor run of results meant they missed out on a place in the UEFA Europa League.

Now that the season is over, Fulham is starting to reveal their end-of-season awards. Earlier this week, midfielder Harrison Reed was honored for scoring the club’s Goal of the Season. Now, Wilson has been voted the club’s Player of the Season.

Wilson won the award with 35.6 percent of the fan vote, well ahead of his teammates. Nigeria's Bassey, who won the same award last season after a strong debut, was impressive again in Fulham’s defense. He finished second with 22.1 percent of the votes, while veteran striker Raul Jimenez took third place with 13 percent.

Iwobi, despite having a solid season, narrowly missed out on the top three. The Super Eagles midfielder was one of Fulham’s key players, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 29 league games. He continued to play an important role in Marco Silva’s plans.

But Wilson’s attacking stats made the difference. The Welshman was in great form in 2025/26, scoring 11 goals and adding eight assists in just 38 matches across the Premier League and FA Cup. That means he was involved in a goal every other game.

Now, attention will shift to what lies ahead for Fulham. They are preparing for a new chapter after manager Marco Silva left to join Benfica.

A new coach is expected to bring fresh ideas and changes to tactics and team philosophy. This will create new challenges for the players.

For Nigerian stars Iwobi and Bassey, who have become important players at Craven Cottage, next season will be another chance to shine under different leadership. Fulham aims to build on their positive 2025/26 season and push for a spot in Europe.
