Nigerian Power Slap heavyweight, Kabiru Adediran, also known as “Hulk”, has called out British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua for a fight. He insists that his desire to face the two-time heavyweight champion is real and not just for social media, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Adediran spoke in a mix of Yoruba and Pidgin English. He dismissed critics who laughed at his ambition to step into the ring with Joshua.
“Let me tell you people something. You people that come to my comments that write, ‘see someone who wants to fight Anthony Joshua’, ‘he will beat you’. Do you people think? I have said it many times. This thing is not content, I really want to fight Anthony Joshua. I like him so much, he is my role model. What he does is not easy at all, and he has a great physique, and I know he is a great boxer,” he said.

The former bouncer for Davido weighs 265 pounds (120 kilogrammes). He said a fight with Joshua, no matter the outcome, would change his life financially. He stated, “If I fight Anthony Joshua, if he accepts, I will get paid. So even if he beats me, I will not fight for free. So let the fight happen first.

“I know it can change my life. My own hand too is not small, and this is about mindset, even to my Power Slap championship. I let my mindset show and intimidate my opponent.”

In another video, Adediran made a direct appeal to Joshua. He asked for the chance to fight him.
“I just need Joshua to please sign the contract. I am not living in a good place, and I need this chance,” he said.

Adediran started in boxing and local slap competitions on TikTok before joining the international Power Slap promotion as a heavyweight. He has made headlines in the Power Slap league for his knockout wins and strong punches, which he claims can knock out teeth.

Meanwhile, Joshua is getting ready for his own fight against Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on July 25. He is also expected to face Tyson Fury later this year, if both men win their upcoming matches.
