Ijebu calls for forgiveness after Ogogo’s passing

Nollywood actor Amokade Olatayo, known as Ijebu, has asked his family, colleagues, and the public to forgive him for any wrongs he may have done.

Ijebu made this request on Monday morning. He was reflecting on life after the death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, also called Ogogo, who passed away on Sunday.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, Ijebu shared his feelings through his handle #ijebuuofficial. He said he was deeply affected and urged his colleagues, both seniors and younger actors, to forgive him.

"Good morning, everyone. My heart is so heavy this morning. I have been awake since 6am. My heart is so heavy," he said.

Ijebu continued, "I want to address this to my family, everyone in the movie industry, and even outside. If there’s anyone I have offended in any way, please forgive me."

He also mentioned, "To my boss, my workers, the younger ones behind me, and my colleagues in the movie industry, I want to use this opportunity to ask for your forgiveness. I’m a sinner; please forgive me."

Explaining why he made the public appeal, Ijebu said he wanted to find peace with everyone. He also expressed his willingness to forgive those who may have wronged him.

"My heart is so heavy. I’m making this video to make peace with everyone to ease the burden on my heart. I also want to tell everyone who has offended me that I have forgiven you," he said.

Ijebu reflected on how short life is. He pointed out that there is no reason for people to stay in conflict.

"We came into this world with nothing, and we will leave with nothing. We don’t have any reason to be fighting among ourselves. Life is too short," Ijebu said.
