Ikorodu City and Shooting Stars Face Off in Southwest Derby

Ikorodu City will take on Shooting Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan today. This match is part of Matchday 10 of the Nigeria Premier Football League. The home team aims to keep up their strong record at home.

Last weekend, the Oga Boys faced a setback. They lost 2-1 to Niger Tornadoes away from home. But at home, they have been doing well. Recently, they won 2-0 against Kwara United at the same venue. They are eager to bounce back and secure a win for their fans.

On the other hand, the Oluyole Warriors come into this match feeling good. They won 3-1 against Ranchers Bees at home last weekend. This victory has given them a boost as they travel to Lagos.

But the Warriors have some worries about their away games. 3SC have struggled on the road, with a recent loss of 2-0 against Kun Khalifat. Plus, they have never won at Ikorodu City’s ground in any competitive match.

This derby is not just about the points. It is also about bragging rights. Ikorodu City will rely on their strong home form. They have not lost to Shooting Stars at home. Meanwhile, 3SC will try to turn their good home performances into success on the road.
