British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua is getting ready for his fight with Tyson Fury. He is training with a special heavy bag that looks like Fury. Both boxers have warm-up fights this weekend before their big match.
Joshua will fight Kristian Prenga on Saturday in Jeddah. Fury will face 46-year-old Mariusz Wach in Thailand. They have both signed contracts to finally settle years of debate over who is the best in Britain.
Joshua's first boxing coach, Sean Murphy, showed off the unique bag. He told DAZN that it was made to look just like Fury. He said it even mimics Fury's chin to help Joshua train better.
Murphy also mentioned that Joshua paid for all the bags in the gym. He also helped improve other areas, like getting new ring covers and fixing up the women's changing room.
At 36 years old, Joshua has promised not to underestimate any opponent again. He learned this lesson the hard way in 2019 when Andy Ruiz Jr shocked him while he was thinking about a fight with Deontay Wilder. Now that he has signed the deal with Fury, Joshua is focused on Prenga.
This Saturday's fight will be Joshua's first since a car accident took the lives of two of his close friends. It comes just ten days after he won against Jake Paul in a much-anticipated crossover fight.
Joshua plans to dedicate his win over Prenga to his late friends. He is determined to keep moving towards the long-awaited Battle of Britain with Fury, who is 37 years old.
