Man City names new captains for the season

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has picked four players to be captains for the club.

In a post by Fabrizio Romano on X on Friday, the captains announced by Enzo Maresca are Ruben Dias, Erling Haaland, Marc Guehi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

This choice gives the experienced players more leadership roles as Manchester City gets ready for the new season.

Maresca talked about his big signing, Enzo Fernandez. He said, “I know Enzo [Fernández] quite well, and I know what he can bring to the team. He is a winner, with a winner’s mentality, and knows how to win the World Cup and the Club World Cup.”

He added that Fernandez's winning mindset and experience in lifting major trophies will help the team as they chase their goals for the season.
