Comfort Williams, who was the 10th Miss Taraba, has passed away. The management of Prime Planet Event Managers, the group behind the Mr and Miss Taraba pageant, made the announcement.
They shared the sad news in a condolence statement on Monday. They described her as a valued team member and the Assistant Managing Director.
Disebe Donga, the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer, posted the statement on Facebook. He said Ms Williams’ death has left the management and the team heartbroken.
“This heartbreaking loss has left us deeply devastated. She was not merely a member of our organisation but a vital part of the Prime Planet family, and her presence, contributions, and memories will remain in our hearts forever,” the statement read.
Ms Williams was crowned as Miss Taraba in 2023. In January 2026, she became the Assistant Managing Director of Prime Planet Event Managers. This was part of a new leadership team that included seven members.
Tabitha Adda was named Managing Director, while Ms Williams took the role of Assistant Managing Director. Leah Lot Mangbon was appointed as Head of Contestants.
In October 2024, Ms Williams visited Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja with other winners from the Taraba beauty pageant.
The organisation called her an important part of the team and expressed condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones.
“You will always remain part of the Prime Planet family. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,” they added.
The organisation did not provide details about what caused her death.
