Former Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, has received a six-month driving ban. This follows his failure to name the driver of his Rolls-Royce when it was caught speeding in Cheshire.
Court documents reported by the BBC on Monday reveal that the car was caught by a speed camera driving at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on March 27.
Salah, 34, did not respond to a prosecution notice from Cheshire Constabulary and did not plead to the charge.
A spokeswoman from the court said Salah was prosecuted at Warrington Combined Court. This was done under the Single Justice Procedure, where magistrates handle some cases in private.
He was found guilty of failing to provide information about who was driving the Rolls-Royce, according to the court spokeswoman.
As a result, Salah received a six-month driving ban and was ordered to pay £1,044.
The Independent reported that court records showed Salah failed to tell police who was driving when the speed camera took the picture.
This speeding incident happened just three days after Salah announced he would leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season. He had spent nine years with the club.
On March 24, Salah announced his exit, and Liverpool stated he had firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in the club's history.
During his time at Liverpool, Salah scored 257 goals in 442 matches before moving to Turkish club Trabzonspor after the 2025/26 season.
The Egyptian international has continued his career in Turkey, where he currently plays for Trabzonspor.
