Morocco wants to keep their winning streak at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations as they take on Senegal in their last Group A match.
The hosts have been very strong lately and should come out on top against Senegal, who have been a bit inconsistent.
Morocco has four wins and two draws, while Senegal has only won two out of their last eight games. The Atlas Lionesses have won their last four matches, including a 1-0 win in the group stage of the last WAFCON.
Senegal just got their first win of the tournament, beating Kenya 1-0 in their last match. Seynabou Mbengue scored in the first half to secure the win for Senegal.
This victory was a good boost for Senegal, who lost 2-0 to Algeria in their first match. They are currently third in the table based on goal difference. A win on Monday could help them qualify for the next round.
Manager Mame Cisse will be happy to see his team win, but Senegal’s recent performance has not been great. The Teranga Lionesses have lost four out of their last six matches in all competitions.
Morocco's Sanaa Mssoudy scored late to give her team a 1-0 victory over Algeria in their last match. This was their second win in Group A after starting strong with a 4-0 win against Kenya.
The Atlas Lionesses are among the favorites to win the tournament this year and are in a good position to qualify from the group. They are three points ahead at the top of the table and only need a draw on Monday to move forward.
Even though a draw is enough to qualify, Morocco will want to keep their winning momentum going. They have not lost in their last 10 matches across all competitions, winning the last four games.
