Wilfred Ndidi might soon leave Beşiktaş after just one season in Turkey. Al-Ittihad from the Saudi Pro League is reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian midfielder, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Turkish newspaper Fotomaç states that Ndidi could exit the Istanbul club if Al-Ittihad makes a formal offer.
Ndidi joined Beşiktaş from Leicester City for €8 million in August 2025. He signed a three-year deal with an option for another season. He was also named one of the club’s captains along with Orkun Kökçü.
In his first season, Ndidi played 25 times in the Süper Lig. He started 23 of those matches and scored two goals.
But Ndidi has faced fitness issues this summer. Beşiktaş confirmed in July that he suffered an ankle ligament injury. He has only played once before the new season, managing just 14 minutes.
The idea of a move to Saudi Arabia is not new for Ndidi. In June, Al-Ittihad and Al-Diriyah showed interest in the former Leicester star. Beşiktaş sporting director Önder Özen also mentioned that the club had received inquiries from Saudi Arabia, but no official offer had come in at that time.
Reports suggest that Al-Ittihad could bid between €10.5 million and €12.5 million for Ndidi. He is still under contract with Beşiktaş until 2028, with an option for another year.
Al-Ittihad wants to strengthen their midfield after losing Fabinho and N’Golo Kante. Ndidi’s defensive skills, strong presence, and experience in the Premier League and European competitions make him an appealing choice.
A transfer to Al-Ittihad would end Ndidi’s time at Beşiktaş surprisingly quickly, just one year after he became one of the club's captains.
