Besiktas is ready to sell Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi this summer for over €10 million. The Turkish club wants to make a profit on the €8 million they paid Leicester City for him just a year ago, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Ndidi joined the Istanbul team in the summer of 2025. But he is now seen as excess to needs after a disappointing season. This has led to major changes in the squad. New manager Vincenzo Italiano took over after Besiktas let go of Sergen Yalçın. Reports say Ndidi is not part of his plans for the 2026/27 season.
Another Nigerian player, Felix Uduokhai, is also on the list of those who might leave. The club wants to manage its wage bill and follow Turkish foreign player rules, according to reports from Turkish news outlets Fanatik and Kartal Record.
The Saudi Pro League seems to be the most likely place for Ndidi to go. Clubs from the Middle East are watching his situation closely. There were talks about him going back to England. He was previously linked with Manchester United, but that move seems less likely now after the club signed new midfield players.
Even with the uncertainty about his future, Ndidi is expected to start pre-season training on June 28. He still has two years left on his contract with Besiktas. But the club is serious about selling him. A final decision on his future is expected before the new season begins.
