Nigerian Boy Wins Bronze at Global Arts Championship

Twelve-year-old Nigerian actor Chibuchi Francis won a bronze medal in the Acting category (Ages 11, 12) at the 2026 World Championships of Performing Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The championship took place from July 13 to July 21 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Performers from over 80 countries came to compete in acting, singing, dancing, modeling, instrumental performance, and other creative areas.

Known as the "Entertainment Olympics," this event gives upcoming performers a chance to shine. It also encourages cultural exchange and artistic growth.

Chibuchi was part of Team Nigeria, led by the National Director of WCOPA Team Nigeria and Founder of Street2Fame Nigeria Performing Arts Entertainment, Ambassador Lovethpatra White Ekufu.

Street2Fame Nigeria sponsored Chibuchi's participation at this global event. This is part of their effort to help talented Nigerian youths gain international exposure.

On Sunday, Ekufu shared her thoughts on LinkedIn about Chibuchi's win. She said the bronze medal shows that Nigerian children have the talent to succeed globally when they get the right support.

"The bronze medal won by Chibuchi David Francis proves that Nigerian youths possess world-class talent. When young people are given the opportunity to dream, prepare, and compete, they can excel on the global stage," she stated.

Ekufu believes this achievement should motivate more young Nigerians to chase their dreams. She also called for better support for talent development across Nigeria.

She confirmed Street2Fame's commitment to finding and developing the next wave of Nigerian creative talents. This includes training, mentorship, and giving young talents international exposure.

The organization is working to create a nationwide talent development system. This will include state and zonal championships, national competitions, professional training programs, and Nigeria’s yearly participation at the World Championships of Performing Arts.

Street2Fame also plans to create more opportunities for young performers through international career paths and continental championships in Africa.

The World Championships of Performing Arts is a yearly global talent competition. It brings together performers worldwide to showcase their skills in different entertainment areas.
