Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang led a strong team of political leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress from Plateau State to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term. This event took place on Saturday at Lafia Square in Lafia, Nasarawa State, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The gathering showcased a large number of APC leaders, important stakeholders, elected officials, and party members from the six states of the North-Central zone and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. It showed strong political unity and a shared commitment to support President Tinubu's leadership.

This information was shared on Saturday in a statement from the governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere.

Governor Mutfwang was present with the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and APC leader in North-Central, Senator George Akume; governors from the region; and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

During his speech, Governor Mutfwang strongly supported President Tinubu on behalf of the APC members from Plateau State. He expressed belief in the President’s leadership and the potential to build on the successes of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He praised the President’s economic reforms, saying that continued efforts on the Renewed Hope Agenda would create a better environment for economic growth, agricultural improvements, infrastructure upgrades, more jobs, and increased prosperity for Nigeria.

The governor believes that a second term for President Tinubu would allow for the completion of ongoing reforms, further development in key areas, and a stronger foundation for a more united and prosperous Nigeria.

Recognizing the economic and security challenges facing the country, Governor Mutfwang urged all Nigerians to come together to support efforts to restore economic stability, improve national security, and create more opportunities for the people.

He stressed that nation-building needs strong leadership, shared responsibility, and ongoing collaboration among all parties involved.

He described the gathering of APC leaders and supporters from the North-Central region as a clear sign of unity and shared political goals. It showed a strong determination to support the President’s vision for a better, safer, and more prosperous Nigeria.

According to the governor, this endorsement is a strong vote of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda. It also highlights the North-Central zone’s dedication to national unity, continuity in governance, and the chase for sustainable development.

The Plateau State team included Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo; First Lady Helen Mutfwang; Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Naanlong Daniel; and Chief of Staff to the Governor Jeremiah Satmak.

Other members of the team were former Governor Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye; former Deputy Governor Pauline Tallen; the Governor’s Special Adviser on Political Affairs Istifanus Mwansat; along with all APC candidates for the 2027 elections, other political leaders, stakeholders, support groups, and party members from across the state.
