The Nigeria Golf Federation is set to hold its second summit for stakeholders and golfers on August 27 and 28 in Abuja. His Royal Highness Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi will attend as the royal father of the event.
Otunba Segun Runsewe, the President of the Nigeria Golf Federation, said this year's event will be very glamorous. He mentioned that many dignitaries have confirmed their attendance.
"It is going to be very massive. We expect captains of industry, golf administrators, stakeholders, and golf fans to join us for this landmark gathering. There will be insightful discussions about developments, investments, and the future of golf in Nigeria," Runsewe said.
Lawal Garba, the chairman of Trobel Nigeria Limited, will chair the summit. Former Osun State governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Senator Simon Bako Lalong will be special guests of honour at the event, which Runsewe will host.
The summit will take place at the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja. Runsewe described the gathering as a chance to network and shape the future of golf in Nigeria. He believes it will enhance excellence and partnerships in the sport.
"This is an opportunity to network and shape the future of golf in Nigeria. The summit for stakeholders and golfers will further boost excellence, partnership, and a brighter future for Nigerian golf.
"As a federation, we are ready for this big event because it will change the face of golf in Nigeria," he added.
Several corporate organizations are also being approached for support, as the federation hopes to attract more partnerships to make the event bigger and better.
