The family of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, has denied reports and a video claiming that his daughter, Shakirat (Kira) Taiwo, has given birth to a baby boy.

On Wednesday, Haleemah (Lima) Taiwo, another daughter of the late actor, shared a statement on her Instagram page to set the record straight.

She said, “DISCLAIMER. Please disregard the information currently circulating that my sister has given birth. This is not true.

“We have been receiving several calls and messages from friends and family asking about it, so we felt the need to clarify publicly.

“At a time when our family is mourning the loss of our father, we kindly ask everyone to stop spreading or sharing unverified information about our family.

“Thank you for your understanding, prayers and for our privacy at this difficult time.”

The false claims came with a short video that referred to the supposed newborn as “My Daddy’s Carbon Copy.” The video hinted that the birth took place just days after Ogogo was buried.

Ogogo, a well-known figure in Yoruba cinema, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 66 years old after fighting stage-four cancer.

He was buried on the following day according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State.
