The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has introduced his twin sons at a lively homecoming event in his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

A video from City Edge TV shared on Instagram on Friday showed the Ooni sitting in the palace. He held one newborn prince in each hand, surrounded by traditional chiefs, dignitaries, members of the royal household, and well-wishers.

Wearing white traditional attire, a matching cap, and red coral beads, the Ooni beamed as he carried the twins. The boys also wore white outfits with tiny traditional caps.

This gathering offered the first public look at the royal twins, whose birth was announced by the Ooni nearly four months ago.

On May 15, 2026, the Ooni shared the news of the boys’ birth with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi, in a Facebook post.

“To God be all the glory… Warmest congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and to Olori Mariam Ajibola on the joyous arrival of twin princes… both mother and children are in good health,” he wrote.

The royal family later held a grand traditional naming ceremony at the Ile-Ife Palace on May 31.

This recent event is mainly a public homecoming, where the twins were formally presented to royal family members, traditional leaders, and well-wishers.

The palace grounds were filled with guests in white traditional outfits, including agbadas, caps, and coral beads.

This celebration comes months after the twins’ birth and naming, giving the royal family another chance to celebrate their arrival publicly.
